Engineer Mohammad Jamal Uddin Mazumder, Deputy Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited came from a respectable muslim family born in the year 1970 on Feni. He has completed his Engineering degree (Bachelor of Science) from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology. He has completed a lot of certification course, training, workshop in the field of Information & Communication Technology as well as banking business.

He started his professional career as computer programmer in WASA in the year 1997 then he worked in EPB as a senior computer programmer from 1998 to 2002. After that he joined Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited in the year 2002 as Software Manager in the rank of Senior Principal Officer (SPO).

He worked extensively to develop a Core Banking System (CBS), as a result Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) launched a new CBS named eIBS (Electronic Integrated Banking System) in the year 2005 which is an unprecedented in the history of software development in Bangladesh. In addition to CBS under his leadership the software division of ICT Wing of IBBL developed more than sixty software based on which IBBL is providing banking services to more than 1.75 crore bank account holder of IBBL.

He has served most of his career as the software manager of IBBL then he served as Head of ICT Wing and Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) and now he is serving as a Deputy Managing Director of IBBL. He still oversees the affairs of ICT Wing in addition to his role as Controller and Supervisor of the Operation Wing, Development Wing and Financial Affairs Wing of the Bank.

In his long banking career, he participated in various banking and ICT related Training Courses, Seminars, Conferences and Workshops at home & abroad and traveled many countries around the globe including India, Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Japan etc.
